There are over 20 million people in the United States that are affected by this chronic disease and many of them have successfully learn to live and manage their illness. This is all due to the fact that they get help and information from others that are a great source of help and inspiration for them.

It is great when we could learn from others what they are doing to make their illness a little easier to deal with. I know it is not easy for many of us that have this chronic disease, to deal with it because it affects our bodies in many adverse ways.

I watch my mother (who went to be with the Lord 2 years ago) go through the ups and downs of Diabetes. The disease lead to kidney disease. This of cause lead to her having to undergo kidney dialysis treatment, three times a week. This went on right to the day that she left us.

There are other serious complications that are associated with diabetes. I know for many of us that go through these complications or have to watch a love one go through them is not easy and because we do, I know we have some stories or tips that we can share with others.

No one like to be ill so we look for ways to easy our pain as much as we can; therefore, I have dedicated this site to providing information on diabetes that would help others. Now I know that the diabetes symptoms are the same but many of us will have different experiences and ways of dealing with the disease.

The treatment for many of us will also be different with different side effects. With that said, I would love to hear about your opinions, methods of treatment, success stories of how you or a love one conquered diabetes.
